Toyota released details about the 2026 Toyota bZ, formerly the Toyota bZ4X. Besides the shorter name it have more range, faster charging and new looks.
This new bZ looks better than the outgoing model with its color matched overfenders and updated front fascia. The real big changes were to the most useful bits. The bZ now has up to 314 miles of estimated range (XLE, FWD Plus model), an increase of 25% over the outgoing model (previously rated at 252 miles). Now most times when you hear more range you worry they might have sacrificed power, that is not the case with the new bZ. The 2026 bZ now has up-to 50% more horsepower, with 338 combined system net hp on AWD models, up from 214 combined system net hp on prior AWD model.
Heading inside the cabin there is a new instrument panel with a larger 14-inch touchscreen along with new 64 color ambient lighting. The 2026 bZ also adds steering wheel mounted paddle shifters to activate and adjust regenerative braking.
The 2026 Toyota bZ is expected to start arriving at Toyota dealerships in the second half of 2025.
