Today Porsche revealed it is expanding the 911 series with three models. The latest edition of the Carrera 4S is being launched as a coupé and cabriolet along with the Targa 4S. Porsche clearly sees a market to expand its all-wheel-drive offerings.

And according to their data that makes sense as Porsche says that almost half of 911 Carrera S customers in the U.S. go for the 4S. So it would make sense to expand that offering into more models.

The 2026 C4S uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-6 engine to sends 473 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque to all 4 wheels. That is up 30 horsepower over the outgoing model thanks to an improved intercooler system borrowed from the 911 Turbo. You will be getting an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission to shift the gears as no manual is available. This allows the 911 C4S to rip off a 3.3 second run to 60 miles per hour.

For all that money Porsche is also upgrading the standard equipment significantly. You now get 20/21-inch staggered Carrera S wheels with an updated design, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+) and a sports exhaust system. Also standard you now get the brake system from the GTS models and the T4S gets rear-wheel steering.

Porsche has not released pricing yet but as you can imagine the all-wheel-drive will carry a premium over the standard rear-wheel-drive models. The C4S and T4S will reach U.S. dealers in the fall.
